The Edina Asian American Alliance (EAAA) is an organization whose purpose is in service of combating anti-Asian prejudice and racism, advocating for equity and inclusion, and promoting social justice in Edina.

Community Mobilization

  • Community Comment in response to Draft Policy 506 and Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook 22-23 revisions. Delivered to Edina School Board. August 2022.

Visibility and Understanding

  • Quarterly District Meetings. Held between EAAA, Dr. Stanley, and appropriate District Leadership. May 2022-Present.

  • Interviewed for Kare 11 news feature. Recognized for the positive and powerful impact of our grassroots coalition.

  • Nominated for Edina’s Human Rights & Relations Commissions’ (HRRC) annual Tom Oye Award. Recognized by fellow Edina community members for our good work promoting human relations and advancing human rights. November 2022.

  • Participated in the Healing Circles Project. Edina Public Schools (EPS) and the City of Edina’s Arts & Culture Commission (ACC). October 2022.

  • Participated in How to Stop the Hate. City of Edina’s Human Rights & Relations Commission (HRRC). October 2022.

  • Participated in the NAMIWalks Minnesota Parade. September 2022.

  • Proposed a public art installation project to the Arts & Culture Commission (ACC). July 2022. (Ongoing Project)

Serving as a Resource

  • Serve on EPS Parent Leadership Council (PLC). September 2022-Present.
